The script translates to English as:
Osmino, passes the merry
hours with his flute under the shade of green leaves.
The original work (brown and black ink with grey
and brown washes) relied heavily on the toned
paper for its effect. Accordingly the paper has not been taken back
to white and the aging artefacts, whilst very significantly reduced, have been
retained. As usual, all the foxing, wear and damage have been eliminated.
For easier mounting, the edge borders have been
