Archibald Thorburn, Ptarmigan taking cover in the snow while a pack of other birds wheels past, carried along by the ferocious winds of a Scottish Highland Winter. Fine Art Print after the remastered original watercolour image.
Mouse-over for close-up.  Mouse-wheel to zoom

Ptarmigan shelter from the bitter winds of a Scottish Highland Winter, while a further group wheels past in the distance, carried along by the ferocious wind.
Another of Thorburn's masterworks - the original, as with all his watercolours, has suffered almost catastrophic and irreversible fading over the past 90 years.
This print is taken from the re-mastered original watercolour image in which all the colour fading, minor faults and time damage have been corrected.
