Note the very faded condition of all colours, the
extreme toning of the paper, the absence of the trumpet vine flowers and
leaves except for the indicative shading. Audubon left Havell to
complete the image by reference to other artwork (probably by Joseph Mason's
daughter) during the engraving process.
