Described in the text as:
"Frutex corni folis conjugatis; floribus instar Anemones stellatae, petalis crassis,
rigidis, colore sordide rubente; cortice aromatico."

The original watercolours, now in the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace, show The Chatterer set on a branch of White Magnolia and the Carolina Allspice being used as the setting for the Blue Linnet.
